A GOP Put-Down for Fox

Reported by Judy - June 23, 2004 -

I always thought that Fox News' attempt to make an issue out of John Kerry having missed votes in the Senate while campaigning for the Democratic nomination for president was petty and silly. It turns out a well-known conservative agrees with me.

Bill Kristol, Fox News political analyst, was on Fox News Live with Jon Scott on June 23 being interviewed about the presidential race. At 9:35 a.m. EDT, Scott noted that Kerry "has been hammered for missing a lot of votes, over 70 percent."

Kristol responded with a condescending smile and told Scott, "People don't care about that." He said voters will pay attention to Kerry's choice of a vice president and his convention speech, but not much else.

Will Fox News take the cue from their political analyst and stop beating that horse? I hope so.
