Imaginary Attack

Reported by Deborah - June 22, 2004 -

Hannity, desperate to discredit Bill Clinton, claimed to have a tape
showing Clinton attacking a BBC reporter. (6/21/04 9:10PM)

Hannity describing the incident said, " He Al Gored this poor reporter,
came completely unhinged." The teases were repeated every few
minutes until 9:11 PM when it was aired.

When the tape was finally aired, it showed a very controlled but
angry Clinton talking about Ken Starr and trying to explain to the
interviewer, how Ken Starr's ruthless investigation hurt many people.
He was especially upset by Starr's brutal treatment of friends in
Arkansas making a reference to Susan MacDougal's jail term for
refusing to lie. His anger was directed at the media for not covering
this part of the investigation, not directly at the BBC interviewer.

Comment: Clinton's anger on this topic is justified and long overdue.
His response could be better described as emotional and relatively
mild compared to Hannity's daily outbursts. When Hannity watches his
own show, what does he think of himself?
