Hannity Politicizes Memorial Day
Reported by Deborah - May 28, 2004 -
On May 27, on Hannity & Colmes during an interview with Bob Dole
about the Memorial Day dedication of the WWII Memorial in D.C.,
Hannity managed to turn a non-partisan conversation into a vicious
attack of Al Gore and John Kerry.
At 9:06 PM ET, while Dole was talking about the sacrifices during WWII
that united the country. Hannity broke in with, "Al Gore screeching and
shrill and angry and bitter. What does it say to the troops? Does that type
of screeching give comfort to the enemy?"
At 9:12 PM, Hannity interrupted Dole again to ask "John Kerry admitted to
war atrocities. Then should that be an issue? When he admitted to burning
down villages?"
Bob Dole obviously uncomfortable, replied at one point, "I don't want to get
too partisan here." Dole seemed anxious to get back to the WWII Memorial.
Hannity was oblivious to his guest's needs, continuing his partisan rant.
